Sonos launches first pair of headphones that rival Apple and Bose. Here’s everything you need to know

The headphones, while pricey at $699, are a cut above others on the market, thanks to their world-class Active Noise Cancellation, impressive battery life and superior comfort.

Made from memory foam and vegan leather, the headphones have also been carefully created in order to deliver the most balanced sound profile and distortionless playback.

And let me assure you — they deliver.

I found the headphones the most comfortable I have ever tried on.

Not only this, but the sound quality and the ability to effortlessly move between calls and music is unrivalled and super easy to use.

Available in Black and Soft White like many Sonos products, the headphones look stylish and classy whether they’re in the case or out.

I plumped for Black, as I often wear makeup and have made the mistake of buying white over-ear headphones before and getting makeup all over them.

And upon use, I found them lightweight, crisp to listen to and, most importantly, comfortable.

In the past, I’ve found after extensive listening (like on a flight or a long meeting), my previous headphones start to dig into the sides of my head.

Personally, I also love the built-in sensors that detect when you’re wearing the Sonos Ace.

Playback automatically pauses when you take the headphones off your ears and resumes when you put them back on.
