People on social media watched Donald Trump’s decidedly weird press conference Thursday and concluded that the ex-president is “massively overconfident,” “incoherent,” and “one egg short of an [omelet].”
In his rambling remarks, Trump aired his usual grievances and falsehoods to reporters, lied that that presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris would “force” Americans to buy electric cars, and charged that the vice president wasn’t “smart enough to do a news conference.”
Oh, and he also claimed that his speeches attracted more people than civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have A Dream” speech.
“If you look at Martin Luther King, when he did his speech, his great speech, and you look at ours, same real estate, same everything, same number of people — if not, we had more.”
Not surprisingly, Trump’s antics got a lot of attention on X, formerly Twitter, where one person called his press conference “bad improv.”
But that doesn’t mean people want him to stop.
And some people wondered when the media would fixate on Trump’s cognitive abilities and his fitness for office.
Former Trump press secretary Anthony Scaramucci said the whole crazy event suggested to him that “Trump is frightened.”
And others expressed their emotions with visuals.
