The 24-year-old daughter of rapper Snoop Dogg has suffered a “severe stroke”.
Cori Broadus, the only daughter of the Drop It Like It’s Hot singer, shared the news on Instagram on Thursday as she recovered in hospital.
Snoop Dogg, 52, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, and his wife Shante Broadus, are parents to Cori and her three brothers, Cordell, Julian and Corde.

“I had a severe stroke this am,” Cori Broadus said in her first Instagram story.
“I started breaking down crying when they told me.”
“Like, I’m only 24. What did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
The first photo shared by Cori Broadus showed the view from her hospital bed, while the second was a selfie in a disposable face mask.
No further details were shared, and Snoop Dogg has not addressed the incident even though he has been actively posting on social media.
Cori Broadus was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease lupus when she was six years old.
Lupus occurs when the body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs, according to Mayo Clinic.
Inflammation caused by the disease can affect many different body systems — including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
Other celebrities living with lupus include Selena Gomez, Seal and Lady Gaga.
Broadus spoke out in 2023 about living with the disease.
“I’ve been good, better than I’ve ever been,” she told People.
“I stopped taking all of my medication five months ago.
“I’m just doing everything natural, all types of herbs, sea moss, teas. I started working out, drinking lots of water.
“So now I think my body’s like, OK, this is the new program and she’s getting used to it.
“I’ve had medication since I was six years old, depending on these drugs all my life.
“So I wanted better for myself.”
The 24-year-old said she wanted to stop her medications because all the prescribed drugs she was taking “just became a lot”.
“I’m only 24 years old, taking 10 to 12 pills every single day. So I kind of just went cold turkey.”
She said that since the natural changes her body is “not achy”.
“When you have lupus, that’s one of the number one things. You have achy joints, you have arthritis,” she said.
“And now I’m like, damn, I’m not complaining about my knees, my feet, my hands, my back.”
Broadus’ father Snoop Dogg rose to fame in the early 90s as a rapper and later as an actor.
He went on to sell over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.
Some of his biggest hits include Drop It Like Its Hot, The Next Episode, Gin and Juice and Young, Wild and Free.
His daughter is also a singer, along with being CEO of her cosmetics brand Choc Factory.
