Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, first shared a shot of himself smiling alongside his brother Worthington and their nephew Rollin Carter.
He posted the photo with a series of emojis including the clasped hands, dove and crying faces.
“Until we meet again ☹️😔😢🙏🏾🕊️,” he said on Instagram.
The rapper went on to share a video of him and Worthington with other family members in a cemetery, explaining the video by writing, “@badabing33 always made us laugh u bac with mums”.
Their mother Beverly Tate died in October 2021 aged 70 but her cause of death remains unknown.
Snoop also shared a photo of the two brothers and their grandmother, writing, “@badabing33 say hi to grandma 🙏🏾🕊️”.
Worthington worked for Snoop throughout his career, beginning as a roadie before taking on the role of tour manager.
He also played his own music with a group called Lifestyle, releasing an album called Liquid Cocaine in 2003.
However, he went on to realise he preferred to work behind-the-scenes in the music industry.
“When I put the (Lifestyle) album out, I was putting everything in the music together,” he told Vice in 2016.
“My guy was a great rapper and I was a great rapper, but I was like, ‘Why am I working on the music?’
“I should be doing all the business side of this thing. I love meeting people, talking business, that got me going. That made me feel like another person.
“I’m glad I’m a mystery. That’s good.”
The tragedy comes a month after Snoop Dogg’s daughter Cori Broadus suffered a “severe stroke”.
“I had a severe stroke this am,” Cori Broadus said in her first Instagram story on January 19.
“I started breaking down crying when they told me.
“Like, I’m only 24. What did I do in my past to deserve all of this.”
Broadus was diagnosed with the autoimmune disease lupus when she was six years old.
Lupus occurs when the body’s immune system attacks its own tissues and organs, according to Mayo Clinic.
Inflammation caused by the disease can affect many different body systems — including joints, skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.
Snoop Dogg rose to fame in the early ‘90s as a rapper and later as an actor.
He went on to sell over 23 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide.
Some of his biggest hits include Drop It Like It’s Hot, The Next Episode, Gin and Juice and Young, Wild and Free.
