Speaking to Best Picks, Sheridan’s interior stylist Fiona Gould offered a few tips on styling a white bed and elevating your home from boring and basic to stylish.
First of all, she said, you need to lean into layers and texture.
“Mix cotton with linen and wools to give a cosy look,” Fiona said.
“White on white looks gorgeous, especially with four to five different textures.”
Secondly, you can “add layers” to create depth and interest on an all-white bed look.
“Think decorative cushions, a throw at the foot of the bed, two rows of standard pillows,” she said.
“Folding back the top of your quilt cover to show that plush fold will also give the bed a fuller, more exciting look.”
Finally, picking an embroidered bed cover like the Driessan Quilt Cover will add sophistication and a further layer of texture to an all-white bed.
You can also create height with European pillows, which are often used at hotels, or introduce a subtle print to further elevate a look.
