Shania Twain, 58, unrecognisable in new photo

Shania Twain has stunned her fans by debuting a bold new look that some described as giving off “Kardashian vibes”.

The country-pop singer, 58, has gone for a surprising new hairstyle that appears to have shaved years off her look.

Posting to Instagram, the singer wrote: “Colour my hair, do what I dare! 💅” — a reference, of course, to her famous song Man, I Feel Like a Woman.

In the picture, Twain is sporting long, straightened pink-hued locks, glossy makeup and a chic black blouse.

Fans loved the new look, taking to the comments section to admire her fresh style.

“Rose gold, absolutely stunning!” one fan gushed.

“OMG!!! It’s so hot 🔥🔥🔥,” wrote another.

One person said at first glance they thought it was fellow singer Avril Lavigne (who is 39, not 58), while another said they thought it was actress Megan Fox.

Several others said the look was very “Kardashian” in feel.

“This look gives me Kardashian vibes,” one fan wrote.

“Thought you were a Kardashian,” agreed another.

“Shania Kardashian 💜,” added a third.

“Always keep people guessing.”

Others were not so sure about Twain’s new look.

“Doesn’t even look like you,” one fan complained.

“I’m always going to prefer you as a brunette,” said another.

“I’d never even have guessed it was you.”

“I think ya might have done more than colour your hair sis,” said a third.

But one fan had seen the complaint comments coming from a mile away.

“Waiting for all the boomers in the comments,” they wrote.

“’I MISS THE OLD SHANIA!’ 🙄

“Mama looks 🔥🔥🔥.”

Twain has undergone several health scares in recent years.

During the height of the COVID pandemic, she battled a serious case of pneumonia.

“I had a very bad bout with COVID … and it was very touch-and-go,” she told BBC News in 2022.

“I was feeling, like, ‘Oh my God, I just have to breathe’.”

The singer also underwent throat surgery in 2003 after being diagnosed with Lyme disease, which had damaged her voice.

The surgery allowed her to continue on with her hugely successful career, which she had feared was at an end.

“I didn’t know if I’d ever sing again,” she later told the US Sun.

“I thought my career was over.”
