SEGA has been making waves this week, announcing a new game with a nautical twist, the release date for another big game, and launching a huge publisher sale over on Steam. The big headline is the announcement of a new Like a Dragon game featuring fan favourite character Goro Majima. Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii is coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC on February 28, 2025. According to SEGA, players will square off against cutthroat criminals, modern-day pirates and other scoundrels, as an amnesia-stricken Goro Majima embarks on a quest for a legendary treasure.
The new Like a Dragon spinoff features the more action-oriented combat system of classic Yakuza games, utilising two different fighting styles.
SEGA explains more: “Players can now switch between two fighting styles: dual-wield short swords or deploy pirate tools with the swashbuckling ‘Sea Dog’ style or utilise speed, agility and flair to defeat enemies into submission with the infamous ‘Mad Dog’ style.”
Like any good pirate adventure games, you’ll also be able to assemble a crew for your ship the ‘Goromaru’, all the while battling enemy ships and scoring loot.
That’s on top of the usual assortment of Yakuza mini-games, including delivery side-quests, karaoke, and kart racing.
Speaking of new SEGA games, the company has also announced a release date for upcoming sim Two Point Museum.
Featuring a similar art style to Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus, the third game in the series tasks players with creating and running their very own museum.
Players will need to send experts on expeditions to discover new artefacts and exhibitions, all the while setting ticket prices, hiring staff and building facilities necessary to keep customers coming back.
Two Point Museum has been given a March 4, 2025 release date on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. That’s the week after the launch of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii.
If you want to see where these franchises started, you can save money older Yakuza and Two Point games by checking out the SEGA publisher sale over on Steam.
Two Point Hospital and Two Point Campus are down to just £4.99 each, while some of the Yakuza titles are also available for less than £5.
Personally, I recommend checking out some real deep cuts, such as SEGA shooter Binary Domain for £1.99, and Condemned Criminal Origins for £2.49.
