The road to UAAP Season 86 volleyball supremacy intensifies as the Final Four showdown begins on May 4.
In women’s volleyball, twice-to-beat teams National University and University of Santo Tomas are scheduled to battle No.4 Far Eastern University and defending champion La Salle, respectively, at the start of the Final Four this weekend.
The NU Lady Bulldogs, led by the trio of Bella Belen, Alyssa Solomon, and Vange Alinsug, eye their third straight Finals appearance against the Lady Tamaraws, bannered by Faida Bakanke, Chenie Tagaod, and Gerzel Petallo, on Saturday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

NU seeks to maximize its twice-to-beat bonus after finishing the elimination round with a 12-2 record against a peaking FEU side that won five of its seven second round games to finish with a 9-5 record.
UST, which also finished 12-2, tries to dethrone La Salle (11-3) and end a five-year Finals drought.
The Tigresses, powered by Angge Poyos and Jonna Perdido, completed an elimination round sweep of the Lady Spikers despite the return of reigning MVP Angel Canino to nab the last Final Four bonus.
The UST-La Salle women’s game is set for 6 p.m. with separate tickets sold from the 2 p.m. men’s Final Four game between league leader and twice-to-beat FEU and last year’s finalist UST at 2 p.m.
Meanwhile, defending men’s champion National University battles La Salle in a playoff for the No.2 seed and the last twice-to-beat advantage on Saturday at the Big Dome
