Randall died almost a year ago, aged 57, following a short battle with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
A source told this week’s edition of US Weekly: “She’s gradually re-emerging into public life.
“She’s excited about what the future holds. She’s ready to get back in the game.”
Another insider noted the star had endured one of the “hardest times” of her life following the death of her partner and that she needed time off.
ALS is a rare incurable neurological disease that affects motor neurons, weakening muscles and impacting physical function, according to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders.
The source said: “Sandra needed the break to be with her family and Bryan.”
Bullock had previously insisted he was the “love of her life” while talking about her lack of urgency to get married during a 2021 appearance on Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett-Smith.
At the time, she said: “We share two beautiful children — three children, his older daughter. It’s the best thing ever. I don’t need a paper to be a devoted partner … I don’t need to be told to weather a storm with a good man.
“He’s the example that I would want my children to have.”
The actress adopted her two children, Louis, 14, in 2010 and Laila, 11, in 2015.
Bullock, best known for hit blockbusters including The Proposal, The Blind Side and Miss Congeniality, began dating Randall in 2015.
He was the photographer for Bullock’s son Louis’s birthday party.
Their relationship was taken public later that year when Bullock brought Randall to Jennifer Anniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding.
