There have been sad scenes at the MCG with Richmond superstar Dustin Martin subbed out of the game against Carlton.
The Tigers had been brave during the clash with their old rival, but Carlton suddenly got hot and blew the game apart in the third term.

As the Blues ran riot, Martin headed for the bench and was taken out of the game.
Channel 7 commentator Campbell Brown said Martin looked “uncomfortable”.
“It looks like the sub has been activated,” Brown said.
“Dustin Martin came off and had his lower back worked on.
“He went back on the ground for about three or four minutes but he’s come of again a little bit uncomfortable.”
Richmond later confirmed the news, saying Sam Banks had been activated as the substitute, replacing Martin who had “back soreness”.
Richmond had a bye last week but the week before Martin played his 300th game.
There was speculation after that milestone match that Martin was saying farewell to fans and may not play again for Richmond.
