Arthur Edwards, 83, who has been snapping photos of the Royal Family since 1977, said that May 19, 2018, was rough — and it was Harry who made his job difficult that day.

“The day was a miserable day. I can tell you now — it was the worst royal engagement I ever did, royal wedding I ever did,” he told the U.K. Sun.

“Harry was determined to keep the newspapers away from it as much as possible.”

Edwards explained that everything had to be done using long lenses, and had to use an 800mm lens while taking photos of guests arriving.

Meanwhile, photographers hired for the job were a mere “five feet away.”

He added: “It was just hopeless.”

Edwards detailed one opportunity he had to capture the newlyweds in their carriage after the wedding to greet the crowds outside St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle but when the couple went past him, they “looked the other way.”

Edwards felt it was “deliberate” that he and other photographers were “made to feel unwelcome.”

He added: “It wasn’t just me. It was the whole of the British press, in many ways were badly treated.”

The claims of their wedding day comes a report that the Royal Family quietly removed from their website Harry’s groundbreaking 2016 statement that confirmed for the first time he was dating the Suits actress.

The statement from November of that year condemned the “wave of abuse and harassment” experienced by Meghan after their relationship became public.

It remained on the Royal Family’s official website in the years since but the link was reportedly deactivated in December, Newsweek reported.

“It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms. Markle should be subjected to such a storm,” Harry’s spokesperson said in the statement. “He knows commentators will say this is ‘the price she has to pay’ and that ‘this is all part of the game.’ He strongly disagrees. This is not a game — it is her life and his.”

In March, Harry and Meghan’s bios were removed from the Royal Family’s website and merged into a succinct joint profile.

The top of the page reads, “As announced in January 2020, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have stepped back as working members of The Royal Family,” and links to the couple’s new website, Sussex.com.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s first lady may not have been a fan of Meghan’s fashion choices during the Sussexes’ recent visit to her nation, though she did not specifically out the former actress.

Sen. Oluremi Tinubu, wife of President Bola Tinubu, urged teens and young people to dress more modestly and not risque like American celebrities, according to Newsweek.

“We have to salvage our children,” she declared. “We see the way they dress. We are not having the Met Gala. And everyone, the nakedness, is just everywhere and the men are well-clothed.”

She continued, “Tell them we don’t accept nakedness in our culture. That is not beautiful. It’s not beautiful at all.”
