“Good form, buddy, keep it up,” Irwin told the creepy creature in a brief clip posted to Instagram.

But his light-hearted arachnid safety message appeared to go over the heads of some fans — who were distracted by another detail entirely.

Irwin flexed his arm muscles as he lifted the weights, delighting many followers.

“He’s just trying to be a good gym bro… always leg day for this guy,” Irwin teased of the spider in his Instagram caption.

Naturally, the comments did not disappoint, pointing out Irwin’s “jacked” appearance.

“You have (a) licence for those guns, Robert?” one of the top comments teased.

“Sooo no one’s going to talk about how yolked Robert is?” another asked.

“When did Robert get so jacked,” said a third.

Others were more focused on the shock of finding a spider underneath a gym weight.

“No Robert… just no. This is ‘Another reason to never move to Australia’ video,” one international follower said.

“THIS is why I don’t go to the gym, this is terrifying,” another said.

“I am horrified, lol, I would rather live in the Arctic Circle,” wrote a third.

Earlier this week, Irwin was announced as the face of a new tourism campaign designed to lure international visitors to Queensland.

He has teamed up with cartoon character Bluey, aiming to attract 1.3 million travellers from the US, UK, New Zealand, Japan and Singapore.

On Sunday, Tourism and Events Queensland officially launched the $9.2 million campaign at Brisbane’s South Bank, with the commercial combining the star power of the two icons.

“Ever wished you could live in Bluey’s world for real life?” Irwin asks in the campaign ad.

The commercial then shows a montage of Queensland holiday hotspots, such as the Great Barrier Reef, the Gold Coast and Brisbane, encouraging visitors to pack their bags.

“Come play in Bluey’s World,” Irwin says in the commercial.

“Well, that’s all of Queensland. So come play!

“From the Great Barrier Reef, to the Outback, to Bluey’s hometown of Brisbane, and the Gold Coast, you’ll love all of Queensland — it’s Bluey’s world.”
