Report: Guerschon Yabusele returning to NBA with 76ers

The Philadelphia 76ers and Guerschon Yabusele have agreed to a one-year, $2.1-million minimum deal, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Before he can make the move to the NBA, Yabusele has to terminate his current deal with Real Madrid. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reports that Yabusele is working towards a $2.5-million contract buyout with Real Madrid.

The former first-round from the 2016 NBA Draft has received interest from multiple teams following a strong performance from France at the Olympics. Yabusele was a key player in his country’s silver-medal finish, averaging 14 points and 3.3 boards including 20 points in the gold-medal game against the United States.

In his first NBA stint, Yabusele struggled to produce, averaging just 2.3 points and 6.6 minutes across 74 appearances for the Boston Celtics. Since leaving the NBA, he has earned All-Star honours in the Chinese Basketball Association and won a EuroLeague championship.
