Wilson, 44, and her fiancee Ramona Agruma, an American fashion designer, are raising the 16-month-old.
“The surprising thing is that you never just walk out of the house and not have plans,” Wilson told People of motherhood.
“You can’t just go, ‘I feel like going to the movie cinema,’ and just walk out of the house. No, no, no.”
“You have to plan what’s happening with the baby. Is the baby coming with you? Have the baby’s meals been prepped?
“You’ve got to communicate about the baby’s schedule, when her nap time is, all the things.”
She called motherhood a “constant responsibility” but spoke of the happiness Royce has brought her.
“Obviously, I knew I’d love her so much because I wanted her so much to come into my world,” Wilson said.
“It shocks me how much she melts my heart.”
Wilson shared a series of photos of Royce on her Instagram, showing her daughter smiling in a pink dress.
“The end of my memoir is the birth of my gorgeous daughter Royce. All the struggles have been WORTH IT!!!” she captioned the post.
Wilson and her partner Agruma announced their engagement in February 2023.
The proposal took place at Disneyland in California, with Wilson seen holding out a blue Tiffany’s box as flower petals fell around them.
It came eight months after the actor came out as gay in June 2022.
“I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince … but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess #loveislove,” Wilson wrote at the time.
The couple was set up by a mutual friend, Australian actor and self-proclaimed matchmaker Hugh Sheridan.
Wilson’s book Rebel Rising hit shelves on Tuesday, naming and shaming actor Sacha Baron Cohen as a “massive a******” to work with.
The two comic actors appeared together in the 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby.
“It felt like every time I’d speak to SBC, he’d mention that he wanted me to go naked in a future scene,” Wilson claimed in an excerpt from the book published by People.
“I was like, ‘Ha, I don’t do nudity, Sacha’.”
Baron Cohen then allegedly summoned her to “film an additional scene” for the movie.
Baron Cohen’s lawyers have called the allegations “demonstrably false”.
She also claimed that singer Adele “hates” her, and unpacked awkward encounters and moments people would confuse the two celebrities.
“Some actresses would get offended if I called them plus-size in this book, so I have to be careful with what I say,” Wilson wrote in an excerpt, published by US Weekly.
“This is why, I think, Adele hates me.
“There was a moment when she was bigger, and some people would confuse us for one another.”
Wilson then added that she didn’t really know if Adele actually hated her.
“To be fair, I’ve never asked her,” she wrote.
Wilson said she had seen Adele at various events and had wanted to talk to her, but the singer would “always quickly” turn away.
“(It was) as if my fatness might rub off on her if I were near her for more than 30 seconds,” she wrote.
“She didn’t like being compared to (Wilson’s Pitch Perfect character) Fat Amy.”
Adele has not responded publicly to what Wilson has written about her in Rebel Rising.
