Despite tending to her health, the social-media insanity that has spawned while she’s away from royal duties and the King’s cancer diagnosis, the 42-year-old Princess of Wales must now worry about what her “toddler-on-sugar” uncle might say as he gives British reality TV a go.

Gary Goldsmith, the brother of Kate’s mother Carole Middleton and admittedly the princess’s worst relative thanks to his “self-destruct mode,” according to the New York Post, is cozying up with other famous folks for the next couple of weeks during the latest season of Celebrity Big Brother U.K.
The competition, which also includes Sharon Osbourne and began airing nightly this week in Britain, still has more than two weeks to go with Goldsmith on the roster — unless he’s evicted by fellow contestants, having already been nominated to get the boot by Osbourne.

— In just a few days, Goldsmith has been labelled by Osbourne as an “oddball” who seems to be uncomfortable around the actual celebrities, according to The Independent.

— He’s been asked about the condition of the princess, who was hospitalized after undergoing abdominal surgery in January, coyly noting that Kate is getting the “best care in the world” and “will be back” soon.

— Goldsmith took some shots at Prince Harry when fellow contestant Fern Britton said, “(Prince) William must be furious that he has the weight of the world on his shoulders when he could have shared it,” reported The Independent.
Goldsmith agreed, saying he thinks William has done an “amazing job” in a “horrible situation” and that he “desperately feels” William has extended Harry some olive branches. He also “genuinely” believes the royals should “take the titles away” from Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
— He believes his sister “will probably be watching me from behind the sofa, slightly anxious.”

Carole Middleton has good reason to be nervous.
Goldsmith, a 58-year-old millionaire and father of one, has been married four times and is no stranger to the legal system. He was convicted of assaulting his fourth wife, Julie-Ann, in 2017, according to the New York Post, for knocking her to the ground after she accused him of taking drugs during a drunken fight.
He pleaded guilty to assault by beating and was fined $6,300 and given a 12-month community order and 20 sessions of rehab, the Post reported.

Goldsmith was also caught in a sting at his “Le Maison de Bang Bang” villa on the Spanish party island of Ibiza — where he once hosted William and Kate. He was allegedly filmed handing over cocaine there in 2009 by a tabloid newspaper reporter, the Post reported.
He denied taking drugs and the reporter was later jailed for perverting the course of justice in an unrelated sting.
Nonetheless, turn off that TV, Princess Kate.
