A popular Indian curry has been recalled due to a chemical contamination that can cause illness and injury if consumed.
Food Standards Australia has confirmed that Indya Foods is conducting a recall of its Everest Fish Curry Masala 50g.
The product has been available for sale at independent retailers in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia and the Northern Territory.

Only packets with a best before marking of 09/25 are included in the recall.
Authorities say the recall is due to chemical (ethylene oxide) contamination, and poses a significant risk to consumers.
“Food products containing ethylene oxide may cause illness/injury if consumed,” Food Standards Australia said in a new alert.
“Consumers should not eat this product.
“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
