Pink’s on-stage blunder in Melbourne sends fans into hysterics

American singer Pink has made a hilarious on-stage blunder in Melbourne, blanking on the lyrics to one of her hit songs.

Performing her song God Is a DJ, the superstar, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, was singing by the piano when she forgot some of the words.

“If God is a DJ, life is a dance floor, love is the rhythm, you are the… something I forget,” she sang, before laughing as the crowd cheered.

Still laughing at the mistake, she added: “That sounded like the elevator version of God is a DJ!”

The video was later posted on X by a concertgoer who had been watching the scene unfold at Melbourne’s Marvel Stadium.

Pink is set to return to Sydney’s Accor Stadium on March 16 before heading to Brisbane and Townsville.

Meanwhile, the much-loved pop star made a special visit to the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne on Tuesday.

She shared footage of heartwarming scenes as she and 12-year-old daughter Willow sang and played with some young patients who also happened to be major Pink fans.

“It’s been 22 years since I first visited families at the Royal Children’s Hospital, and it was a privilege to return to @rchmelbourne this week,” Pink wrote on Instagram on March 12.

“Thank you to everyone who spent time with Willow and me.

In a video shared with her followers, Pink played her song Cover Me in Sunshine to a patient, whose tearful mother said it had been one of two songs by the artist that had helped her cope in tough times.

As the patient’s mum began crying, Pink said, “If you cry, I cry!” before they hugged each other.

“Cover me in sunshine, shower me with good times, tell me that the world’s been spinning since the beginning, and everything will be alright,” Pink sang, as others in the hospital room sang along.

Pink also shared footage posing with other patients, their families and nurses, and bringing huge smiles to lots of faces.

Chatting with one patient about their white guitar before signing it, Pink said: “I don’t think I’ve ever seen a white guitar like that before, it’s so pretty.”

Another segment showed Pink giving a little girl a teddy bear and singing “You Are My Sunshine” to a baby.

Walking up to one young smiling girl in a wheelchair, she said: “Can I give you a hug?”

The girl’s response was to fling open her arms to embrace Pink, who said: “You’re like a little light bulb!”

“I love your music,” the girl said.

“It’s amazing.”

“Aw, thank you!” Pink said, sounding genuinely chuffed.
