A pilot is on cloud nine after he surprised his unsuspecting flight attendant girlfriend — with an epic proposal in the air.
Captain Konrad Hanc had been dating his LOT Polish Airlines colleague Paula for about 18 months after they met while working a flight to Kraków, a southern Poland city near the border of the Czech Republic.

Fast forward, the captain of the Embraer 195 decided to pop the question to his “wonderful” stewardess partner on a flight to Kraków, the city where they first met.
Heartwarming footage, posted by the couple’s employer on Facebook, showed Konrad walking out of the cockpit to introduce himself to passengers on the PA system.
“On today’s flight, there is a very special person and I hope that she doesn’t expect anything,” the pilot said as he teared up.
Struggling to contain his emotions, Konrad began speaking fondly about the love of his life before asking her to marry him.
“Ladies and gentlemen, about one-and-a-half years ago in this job, I met the most wonderful person that completely changed my life,” he continued.
“You are most precious to me. You are my greatest dream come true. This is why I have to ask you a favour, honey.
“Will you marry me?”
Holding a bouquet of flowers and the engagement ring, Konrad went down on bended knee as he waited for his girlfriend’s response.
As delighted passengers applauded, the air hostess was seen running down the aisle of the plane to give her husband-to-be a hug and kiss.
“Of course I will,” Paula tearfully replied.
The couple was so overjoyed, Konrad slipped the ring onto her right finger instead of her left.
“I don’t know if this is the right hand for this,” she said, tearfully laughing.
As the couple went in for another kiss, an excited Konrad happily announced loudly in front of passengers: “She said, Yes.”
Wiping tears from her face, Paula raised her hand to show everyone the sparkling diamond ring.
The pilot ended his special announcement with: “And now I invite you to Kraków.”
The touching video has been met with more than 17,000 likes and more than 1300 comments.
“Congratulations you two! Wishing you a lifetime of beautiful memories and travels,” one said.
Another shared: “Absolutely wonderful! Congratulations to the happy couple. Awesome to allow the world to see this beautiful proposal of marriage! I have been an inflight employee and this is one of the best occasions on a flight that I have seen!”
One added: “Heartwarming. Congrats! Fly high guys.”
Meanwhile, many revealed they were brought to tears watching the couple’s proposal, with one confessing: “OMG I’m crying.”
