A pilot has avoided injury after bringing his light plane down in a paddock near Bathurst, NSW.
The emergency landing unfolded adjacent to the Great Western Hwy about 5.50pm on Friday.
The pilot was the sole person onboard and wasn’t injured despite the less-than-ideal landing location, police told 7NEWS.com.au.

The plane is believed to be a small commercial aircraft.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau said the incident was reported on Friday.
The safety body is currently investigating.
Emergency services were already in the area following a two-car crash in Kirkconnell which backed up traffic on the highway. Authorities have not suggested the incidents are linked.
