A 20-year-old Pickering man who was out on bail is facing multiple drug charges following a traffic stop in Vaughan.

In a news release issued on Wednesday, York Regional Police said an officer was on patrol in the Hwy. 7-Weston Rd. area last week and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle.

Police said the driver didn’t produce a driver’s licence or insurance.
During the investigation, police said they found the driver in possession of a quantity of drugs suspected to be cocaine and fentanyl, as well as a quantity of .45 calibre ammunition.
The driver was on court-appointed bail conditions directing him not to possess ammunition.

A search warrant was subsequently executed at the driver’s residence, where a quantity of oxycodone and drug paraphernalia were seized.
Police seized 197 grams of cocaine, 160 grams of fentanyl and 16 pills of oxycodone with an estimated street value of just more than $44,000.
Fouchard Chevelon has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance and fail to comply with a judicial release order.
