Photos: Inside Wayfair's first brick-and-mortar store in Chicago

WILMETTE, Ill. — Wayfair’s first brick-and-mortar store opened up Thursday in the Chicago suburb of Wilmette.

The store opened up in Edens Plaza at the location of the former Carson Pirie Scott at 10 a.m.

The company held several hiring events prior to the opening and the two-story store spans 150,000 square feet.

To celebrate, Wayfair is offering the following promotions all weekend long.

  • The first 100 people/families in line every day through Memorial Day get a $50 gift card*
  • Up to 70% off in-store on select products
  • Giveaways and raffles
  • Food and family fun

The store will feature a restaurant called The Porch, which offers alcohol, coffee, tea and food.

There will be 19 different departments.

The Wayfair store is open Monday – Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m and Sundays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.
