Oodie discounts its 2024 AFL Premiership hoodies by up to $50 – so get in quick to support your favourite team

With the 2024 AFL Premiership season well underway, Oodie has taken the opportunity to give its customers a hoodie option for all 18 teams — and they’re currently discounted.

The full AFL collection dropped online on March 6 — a day before the actual matches began — so customers could stock up on Sleep Tees, Oodie Blankets and Dog Oodies with your favourite team emblazoned on them.

And for a limited time, the accessories and hoodies are up to $50 off, bringing the main weighted blankets down to $79.

“Our official AFL collection is designed for every footy fan. From the generational supporters, to the die-hard fans to those who are new to the game,” the website reads.

“We have the whole family covered, including the pooch! Cherish a piece of your team’s memorabilia that you’ll love for many seasons to come.”

The Sleep Tees, which are $99 usually but are down to $49, are made using a special blend of bamboo and elastane to keep you cool and comfortable during every point.

Sometimes, particularly on warmer nights, the original Oodie is too warm to laze around in — which is where the Sleep Tee steps in.

The Outdoor Zip Through Oodie, which is $159 usually but is down to $109, allows you to wear an Oodie to the AFL game itself, with a reversible side that looks like a regular cosy puffer jacket.

Kids AFL Oodies will set you back $54, blankets are $69 and dog Oodies are $39.

Oodie has built up a huge following since founder Davie Fogarty, 28, launched it in 2018 following multiple unsuccessful business ventures.

It is now worth $500 million.

The Adelaide-born and bred entrepreneur described himself as “mischievous” at school with little desire to excel at university, so he launched straight into the business world.

“I didn’t have the discipline or passion for university so I pursued business instead. My biggest failure was actually launching a cafe selling rolls. I realised then that I needed to embark on a learning journey,” Davie has previously told Best Picks.

“Then I stumbled onto weighted blankets and got my first taste of success. I had $500 and one great idea.

“It was all about learning, perseverance and understanding social media at the time.

“There are so many ways to connect with customers. I try to de-mystify the process, learn one thing and scale it up.”

After four years of steamrolling Oodie to success, Davie hired a CEO and stepped back from the project to pursue other exciting opportunities.

He is still involved in the problem-solving and creative process where needed though.
