Mississauga OPP are investigating a fatal highway collision believed to be the result of a wrong-way vehicle.

At about 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, police responded to a crash on the eastbound lanes of Hwy. 401 at Guelph Line in Milton.

One person was killed and another was brought to a Toronto-area hospital in life-threatening condition.
The investigation is continuing.
Earlier in the week, a baby and his grandparents were killed in a wrong-way crash on Hwy. 401 in Whitby that left the suspected wrong-way driver dead as well and a passenger fighting for their life.
The vehicle that was driving the wrong way in the Whitby crash was allegedly fleeing police at the time.

SUSPECT SOUGHT IN ASSAULT
Toronto Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect in an assault causing bodily harm investigation.
On March 22 at 9:43 a.m., police were called to an assault in the Avenue Rd. and Bloor St. area, where a man and the victim got into a verbal altercation.

The victim was assaulted and later transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A suspect was last seen travelling northbound on Avenue on an e-bike.
The suspect was wearing a brown jacket with a hood, a black balaclava, red pants, dark-coloured shoes, white gloves, a black backpack and a blue reusable shopping bag. He was riding a white e-bike.

MAN STABBED IN REXDALE
A man is in hospital after being stabbed in Rexdale on Saturday afternoon.

Toronto Police were called at 2:31 p.m. to the area of Kipling Ave. and Albion Rd., where they found a man in his 40s with a stab wound. He was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect is 25 to 28 years-old and 5-foot-2 and with a medium build and short brown hair. He was wearing a blue shirt, grey pants and a black bag.

SOUNDS OF GUNSHOTS
Toronto Police responded to sounds of gunshots in the downtown are on Sunday morning.
The call came in at 6:01 a.m. in the area Fort York Blvd. and Dan Leckie Way. Police confirmed that shots had been fired, but there were no reports of injuries.
Police said a suspect fled in a grey SUV.
The investigation is ongoing.
