“You guys (media) bring up that we don’t play defence, we start playing defence, our offence is great, then our offence is struggling. I mean, we shot 4-of-32 from the 3-point line tonight. I thought that it looked like we were getting good looks. The ball did not go in.”

“Even inside the paint, around the rim, first and second quarter, I thought we were getting to the right spots. We did not make those. Them playing zone get us a little bit out of sync. Then we found the offence against it to get wide open shots, and we just did not make those shots. Defensively, I thought that we did a lot of good stuff there. We kept Jayson Tatum to 19 points, and we kept this team to only five offensive rebounds, which was big emphasis keeping them off the glass, as well. We just did not have enough power offensively tonight.”

RAJAKOVIC ON QUIET NIGHTS FOR PASCAL SIAKAM AND SCOTTIE BARNES:

“I mean, Scottie is the best when he is in that attack mode. And I thought that he played with a lot of energy on defence event tonight. And I’m not sure if that took away from some aggressiveness on the offence end. He turned it on during the fourth quarter. He was getting to the rim. He was scoring. He just needs to find a way how to be both, how to be good and elite defensively and how to at the same time to affect offence”

“We tried to run some actions towards him, and he was trying to find an open man, but he’s the best when he finds the flow inside the game, when he’s running, when he’s offensive rebounding, when he goes into random post-ups, and punishes mismatches.”

RJ BARRETT ONLY FINALLY BEING ABLE TO GET SETTLED FOLLOWING LONG TRIP:

“I’m still not settled yet, but I hope to be soon. But no, just happy to be home. My family being able to come to all the games and stuff is sweet.”

IMMANUEL QUICKLEY ON PLAYING THE CELTICS CLOSE:

“We don’t really want a pat on our backs for hanging around. I think we’ve got to try to continue to make strides each and every day to make that next step to get these wins. We’ve been hanging around with every team and that’s not what we want to be known for. We want to be known for winning. So, whatever it takes to try to continue to get better each and every day we have to do that and find ways to learn from each game to where we win these type of games.”

QUICKLEY ON ADJUSTING TO BEING A STARTER:

“My routine is a lot different. Everything is different from coming in the game and trying to make sure that everybody has a feel and touches the ball a little bit, so everybody can feel in rhythm and everybody’s active offensively and defensively because when guys are feeling the ball, they get stops, they fly around and things like that. To the time that I get on a court I’m the last person to shoot so everything is different as far as starting or not starting. But I’m just trying to have the same mindset, when I come in, and find my teammates, find spots to be aggressive and try to help the team on defence and try to get wins.”
