NSW man allegedly stabbed in the chest at Wyee home in domestic violence incident

A man has been rushed to hospital with head injuries and a stab wound to his chest, after he was allegedly the victim of a domestic violence attack at a NSW home.

The 67-year-old man was found with head injuries and a stab wound to his torso at a home in Wyee — in Greater Newcastle — about 11.20pm on Sunday.

He was taken to John Hunter Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A 65-year-old woman has been arrested and charged with causing wounding or grievous bodily harm to a person with intent to murder.

She was refused bail and is scheduled to appear before Toronto Local Court on Monday.
