Nicole Kidman has shared a curious Valentine’s Day post, which has a rather different feel to that of last year’s February 14 tribute.
In the past for Valentine’s, the Aussie movie star has posted loved-up images of herself with her country singing star husband.
But her 2024 Instagram shows a solo image — of her on the set of her new Amazon series, The Expat — with no reference to Keith Urban.

In the post, she is seen gazing at the camera as she hides half her face with the collar of what appears to be a trench coat.
“Peeking out to wish you all of you lovebirds a Happy #ValentinesDay 💕💋,” she wrote.
The post is vastly different to that of this time last year, when Kidman spent the day with Urban.
In 2023, she posted an image of some carefully arranged love heart lollies, cookies, polaroids and balloons.
“Spending time with my Valentine today,” she captioned that story.
Meanwhile, Urban posted nothing about his wife for this year’s Valentine’s Day.
And, when asked by a country music publication about his advice for gifts to honour the festival of lovers, he appeared coy.
“Don’t ask me, man,” he told Taste of Country, adding that he wasn’t “advising anyone on anything”.
Kidman and Urban met in 2005 at the G’Day USA Gala, an event in Los Angeles that honours Australia.
They married a year later in a candlelit ceremony at St Patrick’s Estate in Manly in 2006.
The couple is generally quiet about their relationship, but in 2021 Kidman finally revealed the details of their engagement.
“He sat on the stoop of my New York apartment,” she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show.
“I came out 5am in the morning, and it was my birthday, and he had flowers, and that was it. I was a goner. I’m like, ‘Yes, I’ll marry you!’”
They have two daughters together, Sunday Rose, 15, and Faith Margaret, 13.
