Australia’s hottest power couple — Matildas favourite Mary Fowler and NRL superstar Nathan Cleary — have been caught on camera playing a friendly game of football with each other in a park in western Sydney.
The loved-up pair took to the oval with their preferred footballs, dabbling in both Cleary’s league ball and Fowler’s round one.
The Penrith premiership captain showed off his impressive foot skills with the soccer ball as the couple volleyed it to each other on a surprisingly empty oval.

There were plenty of laughs, gentle tackles and hugs with the uninhibited pair more than comfortable with each other’s company without the prying eyes of the public.
Fowler was not as natural with the rugby league ball, but took an impressive catch before landing on her back. The video was recorded by Media Mode’s Jayden Seyfarth and images were splashed across the front page of some News Corp papers on Saturday.
It has been reported that Fowler is staying with Cleary in the Penrith area before she hooks up with her family in Cairns.
Only two days ago, Fowler ended a media conference early when she was asked about her romance with the league champion.
She had only just touched down on home soil before she appeared at Rise and Shine Kindergarten in Sydney’s south as an ambassador.
Earlier, photographers had captured the moment Cleary had picked her up from Sydney Airport. The couple had not seen each other since early November.
When Fowler appeared at the Rise and Shine Kindergarten, the relationship was the subject of the obvious question on everyone’s lips.
But the moment media asked questions about Cleary, briefed Matildas staff shut them down and Fowler fell silent.
It’s been a whirlwind year for the 20-year-old, who shot to fame after standout performances during Australia’s run to the semi-final of the Women’s World Cup in July and August.
Rumours that the athletically gifted pair were an item ran rife for months before photos of them in a Perth park in November confirmed the worst-kept secret and set tongues wagging around the country.
With Fowler a key cog in Manchester City’s WSL team and Cleary a Panthers star in Sydney, the sporting power couple have been consigned to try to make long-distance romance work.
At the moment that seems more than successful despite the fact they ply their trade for most of the year on different sides of the planet.
Cleary recently spoke candidly about his relationship with Fowler in an interview with News Corp.
“I haven’t had too many people look into my personal life. But it’s just what comes with it. It’s something that I can’t control,” he said.
“I just got to keep moving on and not read into it too much.”
