Netflix to disappear from dozens of Sony BRAVIA TV models

Netflix is set to disappear from dozens of Sony television models, all of them over a decade old.

The change will come into effect from July 24, affecting 37 Sony BRAVIA television models in Asia Pacific region — including Australia.

“The Netflix app will no longer be supported on certain 2014 BRAVIA televisions from July 24, 2024,” Sony said in a statement.

The app will continue to work until this date, Sony said.

However, Netflix can still be streamed on the affected models using a supported television streaming device, such a Google Chromecast, Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV Stick.

Customers should contact Netflix for more information.
