Netflix Australia increases prices across all subscription tiers

Netflix has quietly put up its prices across each subscription tier in Australia.

Some customers will now be paying up to 13 per cent more to watch shows and movies on the platform.

Those on a standard subscription with ads will now be paying $7.99 a month instead of $6.99, while a standard subscription without ads has jumped from $16.99 to $18.99.

The price of a premium subscription, which allows users to watch Netflix on four devices at a time, has increased from $22.99 to $25.99.

There has been no change to the service’s extra member subscription.

“We offer a range of prices and plans to meet a wide range of needs, and as we deliver more value to our members, we occasionally ask them to pay a bit more,” a Netflix spokesperson told 7NEWS.com.au.

“We’re adjusting prices in Australia with plans starting at $7.99AUD.”

Not everyone has been informed of the price change yet, with the streaming giant only notifying members by email 30 days before their next billing cycle.

Netflix begun notifying customers from May 13.
