Two people were inside the store and narrowly missed being hit but the store’s owner said it could have been a lot worse.
She told firefighters a regular craft group would have been inside the store if the accident happened 20 minutes later and they could have been badly hurt.
Police believe the driver suffered a medical episode before the crash.
The owner was at the back of the shop and heard the impact.
Firefighters extracted the car and cleared the site of debris, while the driver was treated by paramedics at the scene.
Police said they did not plan to take any further action over the crash.
