A Queensland mum and son were denied entry to Suncorp Stadium’s State of Origin decider after her Ticketek account was hacked and their tickets sold without their knowledge.
Nicola Healey and her 11-year-old son Carter travelled from Griffin in Brisbane’s north to attend the game on Wednesday night — but left the ground “just devastated” without seeing a second of play.
“All excited, we went to Suncorp Stadium last night,” Healey told 7NEWS.

“We get to the turnstiles and my ticket said, ‘cancelled’.”
After waiting in a queue for 45 minutes, Healey and Carter spoke to a ticket box staff member, who told her, “You’ve listed your tickets on Ticketek Marketplace”.
“She went into it and said, ‘Yes, they’ve been sold. You can’t have access to the game’.
“Basically, we were turned away.”
Healey claims “somebody” had accessed her Ticketek account and sold the State of Origin tickets — and tickets she had to see singer Billie Eilish in February.
The culprit put their own bank details in her account to receive the money for the tickets, Healey claims.
She has saved those details and intends to provide them to police and her bank.
Carter was “in tears” both as they lined up to speak to the staff member and on the train journey home, Healey said.
“He was just devastated,” she said.
“I was just heartbroken that he was disappointed.”
7NEWS has contacted Ticketek for comment.
For his troubles, Brisbane radio station KIIS 97.3 arranged for Carter to meet Maroons great Corey Oates, who gave him a new signed Queensland Origin jersey.
