No summer wardrobe is complete without the perfect pair of sandals, and we’ve spotted one pair on M&S that shoppers are describing as ‘so comfortable and stylish’ – and they’re still available in all sizes.
The £55 Leather Double Buckle Flatform Sandals feature an espadrille-style flatform sole for added lift while the two thick adjustable straps with gold-tone buckles are great for stability and ensuring the sandals don’t slip off as you walk. They’re available in a black or ivory colourway, and come in sizes three to eight – but we have a feeling they’ll sell out in no time, especially as they look similar to a pricier well-known brand.
Whether you’re pairing them with wide-leg trousers, or a cute summer dress or slipping them on for a quick trip to the shop, we love how versatile and easy they are to style up or down. Best of all? By purchasing these sandals you’ll qualify for the retailer’s much-anticipated Summer Beauty Bag deal, which launched on May 16.
When you spend £35 or more on clothing, homeware or beauty, this allows you to snap up Marks and Spencer’s £170 set of skincare, haircare, fragrance and makeup must-haves for just £30.
Plenty of M&S customers have left five-star reviews with some even purchasing the sandals in both colours for summer. One shopper who pinned ‘these will sell out’ added: “Love these sandals. Beautiful quality for the price and love the on-trend chunky buckles and woven detail on the sole.
“Really like how the strap can be adjusted to suit width, as this is something I always struggle with in sandals due to having a high instep. They do make a slight airy noise when walking, but it doesn’t particularly bother me. I have just ordered them in both colours!”
A second added: “I absolutely love these sandals. Searched high and low online to find a stylish pair to complement my summer wardrobe and kept coming back to these from M&S. They look great with jeans, dresses or linen trousers.”
While a third wrote: “Great looking and go with everything! Can also adjust size slightly.”
Despite plenty of positive reviews, it seems not everyone is a fan of the sandals, with one customer calling them ‘uncomfortable,’ adding: “Sandals look great but are so uncomfortable, actually hurt my feet when walking.”
A similar alternative which is half the price is these Black Whipstitch Chunky Sliders from Nadine Coyle’s Edit with New Look. Priced at £29.99 and available in sizes 3-9, they boast a thick chunky sole which is great for support and stunning Raffia whipstitch detailing which screams summer.
And if raffia’s for you, we love these South Beach double buckle espadrille sandals from ASOS, priced at £22
