An 18-year-old motorist faces a stunt driving charge for allegedly travelling at nearly three times the speed limit north of Toronto in Bradford West Gwillimbury.
South Simcoe Police alleged that an officer caught a vehicle on March 29 which was speeding at 174 km/h on the 9th line — a stretch of road with a limit of 60 km/h.
Police said the driver had a G2 driver’s licence and that officers suspended the motorist’s licence and impounded the vehicle.
Shooting victim suffers serious injuries in North York
A shooting victim believed to be in his teens was rushed to a hospital with serious injuries Saturday night.
Toronto Police officers located the boy in the Jane St.-Trethewey Dr. area around 9:30 p.m., according to CP24.
Toronto Paramedic Services reported one person was transported to a hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

While they did not issue any suspect descriptions, officers said three individuals were spotted feeling the scene in a grey or silver sedan.
CP24 reported that there were clusters of evidence markers surrounding the apartment building where the shooting took place.

Car shot up, smashes into Scarborough store
Toronto Police are investigating after a car crashed into a storefront in the Eglinton Ave.-Brimley Rd. area.
Officers reported that the car had been hit by gunfire and when they arrived at around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, there were no occupants in the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
