A mom from Tennessee who accidentally shot and killed her teenage daughter is asking for donations for the girl’s funeral.

Dearria Radley, 13, died of a single gunshot just before 10 p.m. last Saturday after being rushed to Vanderbilt’s Pediatric Emergency Room, Nashville police said, according to the New York Post.

“Dearria’s mother told detectives that her un-holstered .40-caliber semi-automatic pistol was in her purse with other items,” cops said.
The mom told authorities that the weapon was fired as she was searching for her keys inside her bag.

The mom identified herself as De’Ann Radley in a GoFundMe post, and asked for $15,000 to cover funeral expenses.

Nearly $6,900 had been raised as of Tuesday night.
On Facebook, Radley expressed her heartbreak, saying that words can’t described the pain she’s in. She later shared a video of herself crying and said she “wouldn’t wish this on anybody.”
No charges have been filed, and the shooting remains under investigation.
