MG Motor India had on September 11 launched the all-electric Windsor EV, marking a significant addition to its electric vehicle portfolio. It had said the Windsor EV would be priced starting at Rs 9.9 lakh. However, that price excludes the battery.
The car will have three variants: Excite, Exclusive, and Essence, priced (ex-showroom) at Rs 13,49,800, Rs 14,49,800, and Rs 15,49,800, respectively.

The CUV boasts a futuristic aerodynamic design, spacious interiors, advanced safety features, seamless connectivity, driving comfort, and an array of high-tech innovations, MG Motor said in a statement today.MG Motor will provide a lifetime battery warranty for the first owner, a guaranteed 60% buyback after three years, and one year of free charging at public stations through the eHUB by MG app. The Windsor comes in four colors: Starburst Black, Pearl White, Clay Beige, and Turquoise Green.
The Windsor EV is based on the Wuling Cloud EV, a model sold in China, and reinforces MG’s commitment to expanding its presence in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market in India.
With this launch, MG India’s EV lineup now consists of three models: the ZS EV, Comet EV, and the Windsor EV.

“The MG Windsor will enable customers to upgrade to an EV lifestyle through its attractive packaging and pricing. We are confident that this will incentivize more potential customers to adopt electric vehicles, powering the transition to a greener future,” said Satinder Singh Bajwa, Chief Commercial Officer, JSW MG Motor India.
The pricing of the Windsor EV positions MG Motor as a significant competitor for Tata Motors, which has captured over 60% of the Indian electric car market. Tata recently slashed its electric car prices as part of the ‘Festival of Cars’ campaign, bringing down the starting prices of the Tata Tiago EV to Rs 7.99 lakh, Punch EV to Rs 9.99 lakh, and Nexon EV to Rs 12.49 lakh.
The Windsor features an AeroGlide design language, which is futuristic and transcends the concept of traditional segmentation, the company said without further details.
The interiors include Aero Lounge seats that can recline to 135 degrees and feature an expansive Infinity View Glass Roof. Windsor also comes with entertainment and smart connectivity features powered by a 15.6-inch GRANDVIEW Touch Display in the central console.
The vehicle also comes equipped with a 360-degree surround camera for enhanced visibility and safety, automatic climate control for a comfortable cabin environment, ambient lighting, and a fully digital instrument cluster.
The MG Windsor has a 38 kWh Li-ion battery pack, certified with IP67, providing 100KW power and 200Nm torque. It offers four driving modes (Eco+, Eco, Normal, and Sport) and can cover 332 km on a single charge, as per ARAI certification.
