After their first televised faceoff, Swift posted a photo alongside her cat Benjamin Button and told her 284 million followers on Instagram that she is “voting for Kamala Harris.”

I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them. I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” Swift wrote late Tuesday in her social media post.

Swift said in her message that she was moved to speak out after Trump posted AI-generated pictures implying she was going to vote for him. One showed Swift dressed as Uncle Sam, and the text said “Taylor wants YOU to VOTE for DONALD TRUMP.”

The former president’s posts “brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter,” Swift wrote. The singer, who signed off by calling herself a “Childless Cat Lady,” added that, “I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice,” before encouraging her followers to read up on both candidates for themselves.

Swift’s “childless cat lady” reference was a dig at past comments made by Trump’s running mate JD Vance, who said during a 2021 interview: “We are effectively run in this country, via the Democrats, via our corporate oligarchs, by a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they’ve made, and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too.”

Following the Look What You Made Me Do singer’s public declaration of support, Kelly had a meltdown on her podcast.

“You can kiss your sales to the Republican audience goodbye, Taylor; hope you enjoyed them while you had them,” Kelly said on an episode of The Megyn Kelly Show.

“Can I tell you something? I criticized her about six months ago, when she went to a fundraiser to raise money for Hamas, supposedly Palestinians, but the group that was doing the fundraising was known to funnel the money to Hamas,” Kelly added. “And I said, ‘People should boycott her.’ It was an offhanded comment. People went nuts. Some lunatic dropped a note in my personal mailbox outside my house begging me not to boycott Taylor Swift, as though I have that power.”

Kelly took further aim at one part of Swift’s statement, in which the singer wrote: “I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate @timwalz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”

“I’m allowed to criticize Taylor Swift and I don’t give a s*** who gets upset. This is disgusting,” Kelly said in response. “If she wants to vote Harris-Walz, she can do it all she wants but to say the reason she is doing it is because of Tim Walz’s stance on LGBTQ, F you, Taylor Swift. And F all of the people who want to see these children have body parts chopped off and watch them sterilized under the age of consent and then will ride off to their multi-gazillion dollar mansions, never to think of them again.”

Kelly went on to brand Swift, and her boyfriend Travis Kelce, as “epitomes of elite snobs.”

“They both have gazillions of dollars. She doesn’t care what happens to these kids, just like he doesn’t give a s*** what happens to all the young men who take the Pfizer booster he’s been pushing on them,” she seethed.

Kelly also put Kelce on blast for his role as a pitchman for Pfizer’s COVID vaccine.

“He’s totally f***ing clueless about the myocarditis taking the lives of young men in this country who didn’t need the shot to begin with, never mind the booster. Where’s Travis Kelce gonna be when these boys wind up with heart scarring that causes heart attacks and potentially death? They will be sitting in their mansions in Rhode Island and California and New York and jetting across the world and saying, ‘Let them eat cake’ … too obsessed with their money and their concerts and their football games to have a thought for those they hurt,” she said.

Meanwhile, Harris’ opponent, Donald Trump, also hit out at Swift’s endorsement when he appeared on Fox & Friends Wednesday morning, calling the Shake It Off hitmaker “a very liberal person.”

“I was not a Taylor Swift fan,” Trump said. “It was just a question of time. You couldn’t possibly endorse Biden…But she’s a very liberal person. She seems to always endorse a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace.”

Elsewhere, Tesla CEO Elon Musk poked fun at Swift rubber stamping Harris with a message on X, the social media platform he owns.

“Fine Taylor… you win… I will give you a child and guard your cats with my life,” the father of 12 tweeted.
