Megyn Kelly declares open ‘lawfare’ against Trump haters

Megyn Kelly has issued a dire warning to Democrats celebrating Donald Trump’s conviction: You’re next.

The former president was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records in the hush-money trial by 12 New York jurors.

The jurors unanimously agreed that Trump covered up payments to, among others, porn star Stormy Daniels to hide extramarital affairs and now could face jail time.

Soon after the verdict hit the news, Kelly lashed out on social media, calling for the district attorney who prosecuted him to be barred from practicing law.

“The country is disgraced,” she wrote on X. “Alvin Bragg should be disbarred. They will rue the day they unleashed this lawfare to corrupt a presidential election.”

Kelly then took to her SiriusXM podcast where she ranted about what the prosecution of Trump could mean for Democrats.

“This is ridiculous. What a sad day. The country’s been disgraced. That’s what’s happened,” she began her six-minute rant.

“We made it almost 250 years without doing this,” she continued. “And now, because of falsified business records, we’ve convicted as a felon a former president of the U.S.”

Kelly called the charges against Trump so petty that Republicans could build their own case against former Democratic presidents and nominees.

“You don’t think we could have done something like this to Bill Clinton or Hillary Clinton or others?” she asked.

“We had a standard. We didn’t do this in America. We aren’t a banana republic, or at least we didn’t used to be,” Kelly continued.

“These Democrats will rue the day they decided to use lawfare to stop a presidential candidate,” she declared.

“I’m not talking about violence. I’m talking about tit for tat,” she said carefully.

“You just wait and it won’t be Hunter Biden the next time. It’s going to be Joe Biden,” she continued.

“It could potentially still be Barack Obama. It could still potentially be Hillary Clinton.”

Kelly said that Democrats “tasted blood today” and needed to be retaliated against as “that’s the only way they’ll learn.”

She threatened: “The only way to save the republic now is to give them a taste of their own medicine. That’s it.”

Kelly added: “They’re the wolves with the bloody piece of meat in their mouths. That doesn’t stop the wolf from coming back for more. The only thing that will stop him is if he loses a limb of his own.”

Yikes.

“Who’s getting indicted next? Joe Biden? Maybe Jill Biden. How low can we go?” she asked.

“So before you celebrate too much… over this absurd conviction, you wait and ask yourself, what kind of Pandora’s box has been opened here?”
