When it comes to changing up her hair color, Megan Thee Stallion typically prefers go to for the bold, like vibrant tangerine orange, green glitter, or cherry cola red. But if we know anything about Megan, it’s that she never sticks to one hairstyle or hair color for long, and she recently tried a color combo we’ve never seen her in before.
Megan showed off the shade, a dreamy lavender purple mixed with cotton candy pink, on Instagram. Most of her hair is purple, with the pink tones concentrated near her face in thick chunks of pastel. Her hair was parted in the center and pulled back into a loose twist fastened with a pink ‘90s claw clip, a.k.a. one of the ultimate summer hair accessories. Some of the pink portion was pulled back along with the purple, but two sleek, straight pieces were pulled out to frame her face.
As always, hairstylist Kellon Deryck was behind the look. It’s reminiscent of cotton candy at the local fair with a touch of anime for the manga-loving Megan. The last time we saw the star in a similar shade was in a scene from her “Boa” music video, where she wears a bright aqua and pink wig while on a light-up Dance Dance Revolution floor. However, that color combination was a lot brighter than this one.
