On an episode of the reality dating show in which singles look for love and get engaged before meeting in person, Chelsea told Jimmy Presnell she has been told that she looks like Fox. “It’s just because I have dark hair and blue eyes,” she said. “But I don’t see it so don’t get excited. That’s the only reason, there’s nothing else.”
“Megan Fox? You’re saying you look like Megan Fox?” Presnell asked.
“It’s just because I have light eyes and dark hair. That’s the only reason. There’s nothing else … at least, I’m assuming so,” Chelsea replied.
When they eventually come face-to-face, Jimmy told viewers “she definitely lied to me on how she looked.”

“Chelsea told me she looked like Megan Fox. But it doesn’t really matter, at the end of the day I’m attracted to her and I can work with that,” he said.

The moment went viral online as viewers slammed Chelsea’s assessment of her looks, with one X user sharing a meme of Kim Kardashian saying, “This is so cringe.”
“Chelsea looks more like Molly Ringwald than Megan Fox,” another wrote.
“More like Megan Faux,” another swiped with a third writing, “Love Is Blind and apparently so is she.”
Fox said critics “went way too hard on” on Chelsea.
“I’ve had a lot of people text me and stop me. Even other celebrities at like Oscar parties were like, ‘Do you watch Love is Blind?’ And I was like, ‘No, but I know what you’re talking about,’” the Transformers star told E!.

“I didn’t watch it, but I think in general, no one deserves to get bullied,” Fox said, adding, “I don’t think she deserved that. I think people went way too hard.”
Fox also said that she could see how people would have drawn the comparison.
“A hundred thousand percent, people have told her, ‘You kind of look like Megan Fox,’” she said. “So I believe she’s telling the truth and I hope she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn’t steal it from her.”
She continued, “Mine died long ago from being bullied for 20 years. So I hope that didn’t happen to her. Best wishes and blessings.”
As the debate raged online, Chelsea reshared an Instagram Story first posted by her friend Presley Carter that addressed the blowback she was getting. “Thank you all who are from our hometown and know Chels for all of your love and support for her through this! It’s been so exciting to watch her and see everything!” Carter’s note said. “Also very hard because people are so mean here on the internet and take reality TV way too seriously. Like it’s a show y’all, we need to cool it 😉”

Chelsea herself also posted a video on TikTok in which she tried to shrug off the drama. “This would be a great time for the people who have ever told me that I resembled her to come forward,” she said in the video. “Please, I’m begging you.”
The flight attendant also spoke about the her Fox comparison in an interview with Access Hollywood.
“I am getting dragged through the trenches right now for that comment, because of Jimmy. Little s***,” she said, laughing.
“What they didn’t show is, right before that, he was like, ‘Yeah, I look like (NFL star) Christian McCaffrey.’ And I have no idea who that is,” she added. “So they only showed me telling him, ‘Yeah, I get this on the plane often. I get Katy Perry, Adele and Megan Fox.’ I’m just like, ‘I don’t see it, but it’s something I get.’ I did not expect him to react like that.”

Jimmy later told Us Weekly that Chelsea didn’t deserve all the criticism.
“To be fair, that woman didn’t say, I look like Megan Fox. She said, ‘People tell me,’” he said. “But I heard that and I was so excited. So yeah, maybe my bad. She’s getting a lot of heat and she doesn’t deserve it. She’s an amazing person and I will shield her from all that s— if I need to. I can speak numbers to how she is as a person, and if they want to hate on somebody, they should hate on me. She don’t deserve it.”
Fox’s ex Brian Austin Green also expressed sympathy for Chelsea.
“I’m sure it felt really good when people were like, ‘You kind of look like Megan,’” he told E! last month. “But she shared it in a format where millions of people are watching and are judging her for it.”
