(NewsNation) — This Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas is turning into the most expensive Super Bowl ever, with suites at Allegiant Stadium running up to $2 million, tickets in the nosebleeds going for over $10,000, and average hotel rooms skyrocketing to over $2,000. Per night.
But that’s not the only place money is being spent.
The ads during the game are running $7 million for every 30-second spot, and with A-list stars (and their fees) like Ben Affleck shilling for Dunkin Donuts and Jennifer Aniston and former “Friends” star David Schwimmer strutting their stuff for Uber Eats, companies are shelling out millions. Affleck was said to have been paid $10 million for his spot spoofing his marriage and “bored face.” But Verizon takes the cake for profligate spending and is rumored to have paid Beyonce a whopping $30 million for her Super Bowl spot.
And then there are the parties. Because everyone knows the Super Bowl is a fine game — but everyone really cares about the parties.
My Vegas insider said, “The hot tickets in town right now for this weekend are U2 and Christina Aguilera (tickets for general admission for Aguilar are running around $200, while seats are over $500).”
But the real high-end action is at the nightclubs.
On Sunday, Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis has dropped $10 million for an “Owners Party” at the Fontainebleau’s LIV nightclub and is said to be rumored to be paying Taylor Swift’s ex, Calvin Harris, an unprecedented $1.5 million to DJ that night — a rate that is “more than double his usual rate,” my source said.
To get in and join the fun, partiers will have to drop a minimum of $7,000 for general admission and $55,000 for “upper stage” tables … which don’t include bottle service.
Another big after-party is the soiree held by Jimmy Iovine, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg at the Wynn, where the trio will debut their new Gin&Juice alcoholic canned beverage, as well as Mark Davis’ Usher party. On Saturday, the hotel will also host a bash called “Gronk Beach,” curated by NFL legend Rob Gronkowski.
As for the teams playing in the big game, they also have their own parties.
The 49ers have rented out OMNIA nightclub inside Caesar’s Palace to party postgame, but the best action will be at Zouk nightclub inside Resorts World, which, according to TMZ, has been rented out by the Chiefs.
Whether the Chiefs win or lose, security is being beefed up as everyone and their daughter will be trying to sneak in to catch a glimpse of Taylor Swift and her man, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Gate-crashers can also enjoy sets by the Chainsmokers … if they don’t get caught.
