McFly announce birthday gig for big anniversary – tickets out soon | Music | Entertainment

McFly have been quiet for some time, but they’ve just reared their heads.

The British pop-punk icons have just confirmed they are returning to one monolithic London stage later this year, and it’s all part of a much-needed celebration.

McFly just confirmed on their Twitter account that they’re hitting London’s O2 Arena on October 10, 2024, as a “massive birthday party”.

The band – which is made up of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd – are celebrating 21 years of being a band.

In that time, McFly became the youngest band to have topped the UK Albums Chart twice, as well as sold more than 2 million albums, 2.6 million singles in the UK and more than 10 million records worldwide.

They’ve also garnered 18 consecutive top-20 singles.

So then, it only makes sense the British heartthrobs want to celebrate.

McFly announced the new gig on their social media, where they wrote: “This year McFly turns 21 YEARS OLD… no, we can’t believe it either. To celebrate we’re throwing a massive birthday party at @TheO2 on 10th October and everyone’s invited!”

They added that tickets will be released later this week, but there’s a chance to get presale tickets.
