McDonald’s launches $6.95 McSmart Meal deals amid cost of living crisis

McDonald’s customers will now get more bang for their buck meal deals amid Australia’s inflation-driven cost-of-living crisis.

The fast food chain is set to offer the new McSmart Meal, which consists of two burgers, small fries and a small soft drink for just $6.95.

The value meal deal gives diners a choice between two Cheeseburgers, two Chicken ‘n’ Cheese or one of each.

“We know how much it means to our customers to offer value, and that has never been more important than it is today,” McDonald’s Australia marketing manager Tobi Fukushima said.

“Customers can now make the smart choice at Macca’s with the McSmart Meal, as part of our ongoing commitment to serving the taste that customers know and love, but with even greater value.”

The McSmart Meal will be available across Macca’s restaurants nationwide via kiosk, front counter, drive-thru, and the MyMacca’s app from June 5 to September 3 2024, daily between 10.30am to midnight.

Other year round deals at Macca’s include:

  • Loose Change Menu with deals starting from $1 for a small Frozen Coke or Frozen Fanta, $2 for a Hamburger and more
  • Big Breakfast Deal featuring two McMuffins, two Hash Browns and a Medium McCafé Hot Coffee for $12.95
  • Bundles for 2, 4 or 6 to share with family and friends from $24.95
