March streaming guide: What to watch on 7plus, Disney Plus, Binge and more

How is it March already?

As the weather starts to cool and the leaves take on their autumn hues there are still plenty of new releases to keep you content after a long day at work.

Here are some of the best new releases coming to streaming this March.

The Amazing Race season 36 premiere (7plus)

One of the world’s longest-running reality TV competitions, the Amazing Race is back for its 36th outing. Thirteen teams of two will compete in a race around the continental Americas to win one million US dollars.

Pairs of married couples, parents and children, siblings, and besties will start their journey in the resort city of Puerto Vallarta. We’ll see them make their way around South America and all the way up to the finish line in Philadelphia state-side.

Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) (Disney Plus)

Are you ready for it? Whether you missed out on the Australian leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, want to catch it for a second time, or even on repeat Disney Plus will be the place to find it.

Catch over 40 of Swift’s hits from 10 albums as she takes fans on a journey through her discography or Eras as it were. In this special “Taylor’s Version” releasing on Disney Plus, Swifties can catch Cardigan and four extra acoustic songs.

Oppenheimer (Binge)

This Golden Globe Award winner and Oscar-nominated film from acclaimed director Christopher Nolan finally hits streaming this month. Called an “epic-biographical”, this film tells the story of J. Robert Oppenheimer (Cillian Murphy), an American theoretical physicist on a journey that will earn him the epithet “father of the atomic bomb”.

Murphy is joined by a star-studded cast including Emily Blunt as his wife Katherine “Kitty” Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves the director of the Manhattan Project, Robert Downey Jr as Rear Admiral Lewis Stauss, and Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, USA Communist Party member and Oppenheimer’s love interest. Obituary (BritBox)

Obituary is a unique blend of dark comedy, crime and drama. Twenty-four-year-old Elvira Clancy (Siobhán Cullen) is an obituarist who finds herself almost out of a job when the newspaper she works for starts to struggle. After “accidentally” killing a local low-life Elvira taps into something dark within her that suddenly means she has plenty of obituaries to write.

The plot thickens when the paper hires Emerson Stafford (Ronan Raftery) as its new crime correspondent — and Elvira soon takes a fancy to him.

Ricky Stanicky (Prime Video)

This R-rated comedy is about a group of childhood friends: Dean (Zac Efron), Wes (Jermaine Fowler), JT (Andrew Santino) and their made-up “friend” Ricky Stanicky who they used as a scapegoat for all their shenanigans 20 years ago.

As grown men, their partners are suspicious of their ongoing antics and ask to finally meet the infamous Mr Stanicky. Crafty as ever, the friends hire a washed-up actor to play the role of Ricky Stanicky (John Cena) and hilarity ensues.

Manhunt (Apple TV Plus)

Based on The New York Times bestselling non-fiction book from James L. Swanson, Manhunt is a conspiracy thriller that recounts one of the greatest pursuits in history. The hunt is on for actor John Wilkes Booth (Anthony Boyle) after he assassinated President Abraham Lincoln (Hamish Linklater).

The series follows Edwin Stanton (Tobias Menzies), Lincoln’s friend and secretary of war as he organises the manhunt to bring the killer to justice.

Damsel (Netflix)

In a twist on the classic fairytale trope, a dutiful damsel Elodie (Milly Bobby Brown) agrees to marry a handsome prince (Nick Robinson). However, the marriage is a lie and Elodie finds herself sacrificed and thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon.

With nothing but her will and wits Elodie must survive the cave and seek revenge on Queen Isabelle (Robin Wright) and the royal family.
