A man has sparked a heated family feud for announcing the news of his wife’s pregnancy at his brother’s wedding.
However, the man said he only decided to steal his brother’s thunder on his big day — after he shamelessly proposed to his partner at his wedding.
“Am I the a****** for announcing our pregnancy at my brother’s wedding after he proposed at mine?” the man wrote anonymously on Reddit.

The drama unfolded after his brother told him he was planning to propose to his partner at his wedding.
“I told him no. That it was a day about myself and my wife and we did not want any distractions,” the man explained.
The mother of the two men wasn’t happy and defended her son’s proposal.
“My mum lost her s***. She said that he wanted family he night not see again for a while to be a part of the proposal,” the dad-to-be said.
“I said I did not give a s*** and that if he did it I would have him kicked out. He did it. And my mum said if I tried kicking him out she would leave too.
“I just remember seething inside.”
The man explained that his brother got married last weekend.
“Instead of a ‘welcome to the family toast’, I used the time to announce that we were expecting our first baby,” the cheeky man said.
“My mum was upset but my grandmother told her to sit down and shut up.
“We spent most of the reception talking to family we would not see again for a while about our coming baby.”
The man then explained that his mother said he was being inconsiderate for “taking attention away” from his brother on his wedding day.
“She got really mad when I reminded her that she threatened to leave my wedding if I kicked him out after he proposed,” he said.
The man’s post was met with more than 38,000 comments — with many defending the man, saying his “awful” brother was “obviously the golden child.”
“He got what he deserved,” said one.
“Good on you, what goes around, comes around,” said another.
“Well played,” added a third.
Another suggested: ‘Revenge is a dish best served cold.”
