Man killed, another seriously injured, after motorbike crashes into pedestrian in Allawah

A man has died, and another left seriously injured, after a motorbike collided with pedestrian in Sydney’s south.

NSW police said they were called to reports of a pedestrian and motorbike crash at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Barsbys Avenue in Allawah about 6.45pm on Friday.

Paramedics treated the 30-year-old male motorbike rider for a serious leg injury, before he was taken to St George Hospital in a stable condition.

The pedestrian, a man aged in his 70s, could not be revived and died at the scene.

Crash Investigation Units are investigating the cause of the crash and a crime scene has been declared.

Anyone with information or footage of the crash is asked to contact police.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
