York Regional Police say the victim was leaving his place of business at 119 Westcreek Dr. – near Hwy. 400 and Langstaff Rd. – around 2:15 a.m. when he was confronted by two abductors who assaulted him, forced him into a grey 2020 Honda CRV LX, and fled the area.
But as of Saturday afternoon, few details of the kidnapping had been released.
“The circumstances surrounding the victim’s abduction are currently being investigated by the York Regional Police Homicide Unit,” Const. Lisa Moskaluk said in a statement released Saturday.

“Investigators have been working diligently since the report came in and have made some progress in this investigation, but they have not been able to identify the suspects involved,” she said.

“Investigators would like to hear from anyone in the area at the time of the abduction and from anyone with information about this incident,” she said.

Police plan to release further details at a news conference planned for 4 p.m. on Saturday.
