Man, 18, charged in Brampton teen’s killing, 16-year-old boy wanted

Peel police say an 18-year-old Brampton man was charged and a 16-year-old boy is wanted in relation to another teen’s shooting death in December.

On Dec. 19 at approximately 5:45 p.m., cops say they were informed by a local hospital that a man who was shot was admitted and later died.

It is unknown where or when the victim, 18-year-old Nishan Thind of Brampton, was injured before he was dropped off at the hospital, police said.

On Tuesday, police executed a search warrant at a Brampton home and arrested Preetpaul Singh. He was charged with accessory after the fact to commit an indictable offence.

Cops say the suspected shooter is a 16-year-old boy from Brampton who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for manslaughter.

Police say the investigation is still active and anyone with information or video footage — dashcam or otherwise — is urged to contact homicide detectives at 905-453-2121 extension 3205.
