Mumbai: Auto major Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) Ltd on Tuesday said its SUV (sports utility vehicle) domestic sales surged 24 per cent to 51,062 units in September compared to the same month of last year. The company had sold a total of 41,267 SUVs in the domestic market in September 2023, according to a statement.
The overall sales, including those of commercial vehicles (CVs) and three-wheelers, stood at 87,839 units in the previous month, growing 16 per cent year on year, it said.
The company said it sold a total of 36,777 CVs and three-wheelers last month, including 3,027 units in overseas markets.
“We sold 51,062 SUVs in September, a growth of 24 per cent and 87,839 total vehicles, a growth of 16 per cent. As we enter into the festivities of Navratri, we open bookings for the much-awaited Thar RoXX on October 3,” said Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd.
