A local footy grand final has ended in chaotic and the most dramatic of scenes, with a kick after the siren to win the game.
Players from Old Camberwell began celebrating when the siren went at the end of the fourth quarter of their VAFA under 19s division two grand final against University Blues, thinking they had won the game by five points, 44-39.

But an umpiring decision for tripping had been made just fractions of a second before the siren blew, giving the Blues a free kick from about 60 metres out from goal.
The decisive umpire made it very clear that he had paid the free kick and that University would be given the chance to take their kick after the siren, despite being a long way out from goal.
And in pouring rain, it would have been almost impossible to cover the distance to win the game after the siren.
But that all changed when four Camberwell players, who had been sitting on the bench for the dying stages of the game, ran onto the field and were rightly penalised for doing so.
Not only did they come onto the field of play prematurely, they also ran directly into the protected area, which was still live, despite the siren having gone.
The umpire correctly awarded a 50 metre penalty to University player Angus Watson, who had received the free kick for a clear trip.
Watson kicked the goal from about 15 metres out, directly in front, to win the game for the Blues.
Supporters from Uni Blues stormed onto the field in chaotic celebration of the one-point win.
