Melbourne radio host Lauren Phillips’ ex Lachlan Spark has marked Valentine’s Day in a rather unusual way — by appearing to belatedly celebrate the former couple’s divorce.
Spark, a TV producer, is now engaged to partner Courtney Wynbergen.

But in an Instagram post on Wednesday, the day of lovers, he displayed a snippet of his and Phillips’ divorce papers.
The divorce was finalised in 2021, so it’s not as if the documents have only just come through.
“Bigamy is officially off the cards!” Spark wrote.
“Might’ve been worth checking before getting engaged in hindsight.”
He then added “Happy Valentine’s Day” and tagged his new partner.
Phillips and Spark split in 2018 after one year of marriage.
They had been together for six years before tying the knot on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria in 2017.
In 2020, Spark posted a scathing message on Instagram about Phillips, for which he later apologised, saying he “let ego get in the way”.
In the same post, he said he had met his now-fiancée Courtney Wynbergen by “sheer dumb luck”.
“I ran into this girl and my world changed,” he wrote.
“She knows how to love me like I’ve never been loved before. I love you.”
Spark temporarily disappeared off social media after the furore around his post about Phillips, who made no public comment at the time.
She has since become engaged to Paul O’Brien, a private jet operator.
Speaking on KIIS 101.1’s Jase & Lauren in the Morning in 2021, Phillips conceded the marriage “didn’t end well”.
“When you’re an adult it’s not a hard exit; it was a really slow, drawn out breakdown process,” she said.
“We decided to buy a house, renovate a house, start a new business and get married at the same time, so there was this extensive pressure bubble we had put ourselves in, and there was a myriad of other issues playing along with that.”
Phillips added that the end of the relationship pushed her to her emotional limits.
“That made me break down very quickly, but I was determined to try everything I possibly could,” she said.
“That meant sacrificing my own health in the end, and that is why I almost had a nervous breakdown.”
